I was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. Growing up on the Indian River Lagoon, a deep passion for the environment and marine ecosystems developed. I have always been fascinated by wildlife, both marine and terrestrial. Volunteering at the Brevard Zoo in high school for five years, also added to my love for nature. Through traveling to different places around the world, I have been able to photograph unique animals I would never see in Florida.
A few words about me
My passion for the environment led me to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability Studies with a minor in Geography from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida.
I am currently the membership coordinator for the Sea Turtle Conservancy, and also work on our in-water research project. I am also an environmental educator, teaching students across the country about sea turtles and their importance in today’s world.
My true love is scuba diving. I aspire to obtain my Dive Master certification, and I have been fortunate to dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Red Sea in Israel, Cano Island in Costa Rica, Cozumel in Mexico, Eleuthera in the Bahamas, West Palm Beach, and the Florida Keys. Check out the Underwater photography page for some awesome videos and pictures of wildlife.
