For one week, February 29th to March 8th, I traveled to the Osa Penisula in Southern Costa Rica. While Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s biodiversity, this small peninsula is home to 2.5%! Home to Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica’s first national park, this beautiful place is full of wildlife. Nearby is also Cano Island, home to amazing reefs full of marine life. I stayed on the north pacific side near the small town of Drake Bay and San Josesito at a locally run hostel, Life for Life. It is more than just a hostel. They run a sea turtle program where they collect and relocate sea turtle nests so the eggs are not poached or killed. Below you will see pictures and video of the amazing wildlife, scenery, and adventures!
